Voice Lessons
Voice lessons (ages 12+) focuses on developing healthy vocal technique, confidence, and musical expression. Students explore a variety of vocal styles including classical, musical theater, and contemporary music based on their interests. Lessons are designed to support each student's goals, including audition preparation, performance opportunities, and continued growth as a vocalist.
Piano Lessons
We offer two options for piano lessons at Berrywood Music Studio, allowing students to choose the approach that best fits their interests.
Beginner Piano (ages 7+) focuses on building foundational piano and music literacy skills through the use of method books and engaging, supportive instruction.
Contemporary Piano (ages 12+) focuses on chord-based piano skills. Students develop skills to accompany themselves or others, play in bands or worship teams, and perform in casual settings.
Meet the instructor
Alexis Loch is a music educator who is passionate about helping students build confidence and find joy in making music. She creates a supportive, engaging environment where students feel comfortable exploring and developing their skills at their own pace.
Alexis holds a Master's Degree in Music Education from Gordon College and has experience teaching choir, piano, and general music and music theory to grades K-12, as well as experience directing adult choirs. Alexis has worked with students ranging in experience, from brand new beginners to adults returning to music after time away, as well as advanced students who have studied for years. She enjoys helping each student grow in a way that feels encouraging, supportive, and tailored to their individual interests and goals.
